Border Brouhaha Softball Slam Featuring Football Legends Mason Crosby and Jordy Nelson
BELOIT, WI – The Sky Carp, alongside Mason Crosby, Jordy Nelson and TEAM LAMMI, are proud to announce the return of the Border Brouhaha Softball Slam, an action-packed charity softball game set for July 19 at ABC Supply Stadium. The summer showcase will feature football heroes and other sports legends from Wisconsin and Illinois, all coming together to raise critical funds for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
Crosby, the longtime standout and all-time leading scorer for the Green Bay Packers, will serve as host of the event. After a distinguished 17-year NFL career — including 16 seasons in Green Bay — Crosby is excited to once again bring fans together for a meaningful cause. He will be joined by former Green Bay Hall of Fame wide receiver Jordy Nelson and Olympic legend Bonnie Blair, adding even more star power and competitive spirit to the afternoon.
The celebrity softball game will begin at 3 p.m., creating a fun, family-friendly atmosphere centered on community and giving back. Fans will have opportunities to see their favorite football heroes and other sports legends in a relaxed setting while supporting children and families across the state.
"Make-A-Wish Wisconsin is thrilled once again to work with Mason and Molly Crosby and their family, the Beloit Sky Carp and the crew at TEAM LAMMI on the annual Border Brouhaha Softball Slam at ABC Supply Stadium," said Wendy Cozzens, CEO of Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. "Last year's event was a huge success and we look forward to impacting more children battling critical illnesses, their families and our community through this outstanding event.”
“I am beyond thrilled to again be hosting this game with my wife, Molly, and having our good friend Jordy Nelson join us,” Crosby said. “We had so much fun last year engaging with fans and having fun on the softball field while raising money for Make-A-Wish. We are honored to raise money for this vitally important organization, while helping to bring smiles to more children. We can’t wait to see all the great fans in Beloit."
“We’re honored to host an event that brings together incredible athletes, passionate fans and an organization that changes lives,” said Zach Brockman, President of the Sky Carp. “Moments like this showcase the power of sports to unite people and make a lasting impact far beyond the field.”
Additional player announcements will be revealed in the coming weeks as anticipation continues to build.
Mason and Molly Crosby have supported Make-A-Wish for more than 14 years, and the Sky Carp proudly stands alongside the organization in its mission. Funds raised from the Border Brouhaha Softball Slam will help create life-changing wishes for local children battling critical illnesses.
